How Bruce Wayne, the billionaire prince of Gotham whose parents were killed when he was young, became a crime-fighting superhero. Flashbacks of his privileged childhood, show how after falling into a hidden bat-filled cave, he developed a terrible fear of the creatures. As a young adult, Wayne lived among ninjas, 'The League of Shadows'. His leaders Ra's al Ghul and Henri Ducard teach him strength, endurance, and unfortunately evil, against which he rebels. Returning to Gotham and reinstating himself as a success and rightful heir to his parents' enterprise, Wayne quickly devises his secret identity. With this, he can save Gotham from criminal corruption, whilst protecting his childhood playmate Rachel, an anti-mob lawyer.
