Ireland and freedom. Two notions that seem unattainable in 1920's Ireland which is subject to the colonial domination of neighbouring Britain. Two brothers, Damien and Teddy, nevertheless join the voluntary rebellion soldiers to fight against the brutal British troops, the Black and Tans, in the War of Independence, driven by a sense duty and an unwavering passion.
