Based upon the true story of the 1940's serial killers known as The Lonely Hearts Killers. Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez lure lonely widows through personal ads, then swindle and kill them, once their trust had been won over. Eventually caught by police late in the decade, the duo denied the killings, but were sentenced to death.
