This is a story, inspired by actual events, of Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch), a young man from the San Gabriel Valley ambitious to follow in his father's footsteps. However, when one of Johnny's plans goes awry, his father (Bruce Willis) is forced to step in and save his son from a life behind bars. The story chronicles Johnny and his crew as they misstep their way through a tragic crime, and the emotional and moral fallout that each character must deal with as a result.
