Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays the role of a successful school hockey player whose life takes a turn for the worse after a terrifying car crash. Following the traumatic event, the young man is brain damaged and unable to remember much of his previous life. His blind flatmate helps out, but it is not enough as he still desires an escape from his frustrating existence. He is slowly sucked in by a gang of crooks during his night-time cleaning job at a bank. He soon realises, however, that they plan to use him, but it is too late to back out now. Will he ever recover the personality he so much enjoyed possessing prior to the crash?
