A New York schoolteacher hits a midlife crisis when, in quick succession, her husband leaves, her adoptive mother dies. If this tragedy wasn't enough, her biological mother appears, and the eccentric talk-show host turns her life upside down, and disrupts her new relationship with one of her student's fathers.
