Israeli film-maker Ari Folman delves into his own nightmares and the repressed memories of his involvement in the first Lebanon War with this stunning animated documentary. It all begins when Folman describes a recurring dream he has to a friend in a bar; in the dream he is chased by 26 vicious dogs. The two men conclude that there's a connection to their Israeli Army mission in the early eighties but Ari is surprised that he can't remember a thing anymore about that period of his life. Intrigued by the massive gap in his memory, he decides to meet and interview old friends and comrades in an attempt to discover the truth about that time and about himself.
