Julia Zárate, a college student, wakes up in her apartment to find her lover Nahuel stabbed and his lover Ramiro covered with blood but still alive. A pregnant Julia is sent to a special prison wing to wait for trial. She befriends a mother of two children who helps her to understand motherhood and life in prison. After Julia delivers Tomás, her mother tries to kidnap her grandson and causes a rebellion in Julia's wing. When Ramiro, who also loved Julia, accuses her of murdering Nahuel, her expectation of raising Tomás is hampered.
