Palestinian director Elia Suleiman is inspired by his father's diaries and his mother's letters to tell the story of four historic episodes spanning from 1948 when his father was a resistance fighter, to more recent times where intimate memories paint a portrait of a people 'living as a minority in their own homeland'.
