Benjamín Espósito is an Argentine lawyer who has worked all his life as an employee of a judicial panel. When he is rocked by the discovery of the body of a beautiful young woman in his courtroom, he sets out to find the person guilty of raping and mutilating her. Taking place in 1974, the film follows Espósito as he tries to track down the killer against the backdrop of Argentina's political instability and ends up all too involved in the violence himself.
