Kathy, Tommy and Ruth are childhood friends at Hailsham, a lovely and happy boarding school. However, they soon discover there a dark and ominous secret about their future. As they grow older and inexorably closer to their secret fate that awaits them as adults, they must also confront issues of jealousy, love and betrayal that all threaten to gnaw at their relationships.
