After disappearing from a small Polish town, a mother discovers her 4-year old daughter has been kidnapped by the Russian Mafia. Stopped in her tracks by a policeman, Robert Goc, she is accused of speeding. His intervention delays the chase, resulting in the abduction of her child across the Eastern border. Feeling guilty that he failed to prevent the hijackers, Robert becomes engaged in an international search investigation, in an attempt to find the missing girl. The trail leading towards the abducted Ola materialises a few years later in Russia. Human trafficking is one of the most versatile and constantly evolving types of crime existing within the modern world. Annually, 1.5 million children are sold for : sexual exploitation, begging, organ trade or carrying out rituals.
