Anna is a teenage girl who returns home after being released from a mental hospital following the death of her mother. A therapist advises Anna to stay positive as she continues with her recovery however, she suffers a setback when she arrives home, only to discover that her father has become engaged to her mother's former home-nurse, Rachel. That night, she is visited by her mother's ghost, who warns her about Rachel. Thereafter, Anna - along with her sister - tries to convince her father that his fiancée is not who she appears to be, and consequently, what should be a happy family reunion ends up becoming a war of wills between two sisters and their stepmother.
