Bolt (John Travolta) is the star of a TV show, in which he plays a super-powered canine aiding his owner, Penny (Miley Cyrus), in her quest to rescue her scientist father from the clutches of The Green-Eyed Man. However, Bolt doesn't know he's in a TV show and believes his powers to be real. When he's accidentally shipped from his Hollywood home to New York, Bolt must make his way back to Penny with the aid of only a street cat and a hamster who counts himself as his biggest fan. But can he face up to the fact that he's just a normal dog.
