A British sommelier and wine shop owner living in oenologically snobbish 1970s Paris travels to the then little known Napa Valley in California to find some quality wines to take home for a blind-tasting challenge, The Judgement of Paris. His encounters lead to a personal epiphany which not only changes his life but also the fortunes of California vintners and the global-wine industry.
