Joel is constantly finding himself in precarious situations that worsen by the minute. His soon-to-be floor manager is seriously injured when a machine accidentally malfunctions and his personal life is in the doldrums after he takes advice from his bartending friend Dean during a drug-inspired brainstorming session on how to test his wife's faithfulness. Added to these issues is a new employee Cindy, a con artist intent on draining the company of all its wealth. Joel must attempt to reconstruct his company and marriage all while trying to discover what he's really after in life.
