Garrett is still trying to get over a recent breakup when he meets Erin, an honest, pretty girl with a love of bar trivia. They are immediately drawn to each other and end up spending the summer together in New York. They had initially agreed that it was only ever going to be a summer fling, but they can't let go when it's time for Erin returns to San Francisco, and so begins the long-distance relationship. However, this doesn't all go to plan with Erin's sister disapproving, as well as Garrett's friends not appreciating his devotion to Erin either. Can they make this work, or was it just a summer thing that they couldn't let go of when in reality, it was long overdue?
